Purple Belt Winners Friday 12th May 2006
It was a difficult choice tonight for Sensei, all players made an effort. It was good to see everyone enjoying themselves and also putting the effort in.
The more effort you put in the better the Judo, remember to have fun but at the end of the day Judo is practiced to win competitions.
The players in the picture include long standing member Joshua Lowe (left) and newcomer Joseph Nugent (right).
Well done guys keep it up. Don’t forget to check Sensei’s comments.
If you are new to Meiji Judokwai Judo or this website; the purple belt is the special award that is awarded to the best Judo player of the night. There are two sets of purple belts two for the Wednesday club (Burntwood Leisure Centre) and two for the Friday club (Hayes Green Community Centre). Each winning player gets to keep the belt until the next weeks session, but is able to proudly wear it on the training day between.
