South East National Open 2008
Well done to David today for winning the gold at the South East National Open tournament in Colchester. Here he is below with the lad who won the silver in the same tournament - he was from one of the local clubs in Colchester.
East Midlands Area Open Low Grade 2008
On Sunday 4th May, 2008, seven of our players fought really well in the Low Grade tournament at Earl Shilton, Leicester. Although it was only for Low Grade players, many that attended from other clubs were regular faces, so it was tough, with a large number of players for each category. Well done to Lee in his first tournament! Here are the results:

National Closed Championships 2008
March 30th 2008 at Castle Vale was a fantastic achievement for Meiji - these players won tropies in the AJA Closed Championships. This tournament is always a tough one. Those listed below have been invited to fight at the 13th ‘Houvast’ Judo Tornament at Mierlo in Holland on the 16th - 18th May 2008. Good luck! Here are the results of the winners:

Meiji 2007 Awards Presentation
On the 9th February 2007 we had our annual achievement awards presentation. This was a great evening with lots of trophies, fun, food and a disco.

National Closed Championships 2007
The 18th of March 2007 saw the National Closed Championships which was an important competition if players wanted to fight at the 12th National Squad ‘Houvast’ Judo Tornament at Mierlo in Holland on the 18th - 20th May 2007.

Midland Age Competition November 2006
Last Sunday was the AJA Age competition at Castle Vale, some familiar faces amongst the crowds and fighters.
Well done to 2A’s Judo for picking up the Gold in the team event and well done to the Meiji A team who picked up bronze. Meiji had a couple of unlucky fights where it just wen against them.
Meiji scooped some great medals in the age competition too, I will post the results here later.
